Block paving repairs to a school car park in Basildon, essex

The existing 80mm block paving had moved with heavy use of vehicular traffic over the years and large gaps had opened throughout the block paving pattern. The block paving installation was of a permeable variety and had to be re-laid tight again, taking care not to damage the existing permeable grit bedding layer. Once re-laid, the block paving was heavily compacted and new 3mm washed grit brushed between the block paving joints to finish.

The car park will now give many more years of use without the fear of it being a Health and Safety Risk to the Schools pupils and visitors.
